Trouble stirs in the middle of Ultima Segmentum. Roughly half-way between Canta IX and Corinthe lies the Haemus system.

Haemus III, of interest here, is the most populated planet in the system, a small Imperial world with a population of 3 billion people.

+++ HAEMUS III: INITIAL REPORT +++

It has come to our attention that a cult has taken roots in the northern part of the main continent, Teres. Also, a separatist movement seems to be rising, possible due to this cult's influence on the population. It is as of yet unknown if this cult is a chaos cult or not, but surely no good can come of this.

+++ HAEMUS III: UPDATE 1 +++
The cult seems to have taken the name "The Hand of the Bear". We have yet to ascertain if this cult's activities are orchestrated by a chaos agent or not. Colonel Kotys is being investigated due to suspicions that he may have had contact with the cult.

+++ HAEMUS III: UPDATE 2 +++
Colonel Kotys has declared Haemus III to be independent of the Imperium. He seems to have the support of almost half of the Planetary Defence Forces. Such treason will not be tolerated. There is a high probability that Colonel Kotys has allied himself with The Hand of the Bear.

+++ HAEMUS III: UPDATE 3 +++
Colonel Kotys and the regiments loyal to him have seized control of the northern half of Teres. A civil war has errupted in the southern half. Martial law has been declared. Information that the Hand of the Bear is venerating a divine savior called Zalmoxis is coming to light. A large number of traitor PDF are joining the cult, believing that Zalmoxis is a savior saint that will free them from tyranny, hardship and poverty. May the Emperor cleanse their souls.

- Haemusian Guard (Codex: IG) [The loyalist remnants of the Haemusian Guard Regiments, led by General Rhesus. They oppose the Haemusian Liberators, and are loyal to the Imperium]
- Space Marines la alegere (Codex: SM, DA, BA, SW, GK etc) [Space Marine attitude towards the events on Haemus III vary from Chapter to Chapter but common is their lack of tolerance for rebels. Space Marines are always prepared to intervene in such situations, especially in cases of corruption by the forces of Chaos]
- Sisters of Battle (Codex: Witch Hunters) [The Adeptus Sororitas may be sent by the Ecclesiarchy in such situations to burn the heretic and purge the unclean. Veneration of Zalmoxis is sin, and so must be cleansed]
- Haemusian Liberators (Codex Imperial Guard) [The Haemusian Liberators fight for Haemus III's independence from the Imperium, being lead by Colonel Kotys in an uprising that has taken hold of the whole planet. Their veneration of Zalmoxis is seen by them as a new beginning and while some of them could possibly be of the heretical mindset, some are only following others while others are acting in a twisted sense of loyalty for their kin, breaking the tenets of the Imperium.]
- Chaos Space Marines la alegere (Codex: CSM) [Each Legion would have it's own reasons to intervene, but most assuredly the Gods of Chaos see the Haemusian uprising as opportunity]
- Tau (Codex: Tau) [The Tau see the uprising as turbulance in the stability of the Imperium and may wish to gain a foothold in the region if the opportunity were to arise]
- Necrons (Codex: Necrons) [Are the Necrons here? If they were, what would they want?]
- House Lannister (Codex: Awesome) [House Lannister is always prepared to give a high interest loan to any would be fool to believe that a Lannister always... *Tywin walks in, silence follows*]

Absolut. O sa fie o campanie strategica cu o harta formata din mai multe teritorii cu jucatorii avand diverse cantitati de forte armate (exprimate in numar de puncte) impartite cum vor ei intre teritorii. Sort of like Dawn of War.

Ca sa raspund la aceste intrebari trebuie sa detaliez un pic fluff-ul chaos space marines-ilor pe care ii detin si pe care i-am numit "Seekers of the Blind Eye". Ceea ce urmeaza este o descriere in linii mari a povestii lor pe care o sa o updatez cand imi vin idei noi (desi liniile principale au fost trasate acum muuuult timp). Very Happy

The first part. The Lost Legion. Sons of Dragons.

The story tells of twenty Primarchs, created by the Immortal Emperor of Mankind, and of twenty legions for them to lead in the great crusade to reclaim the lost empire of mankind scattered amongst the hostile stars of the galaxy.

Some rose to eternal glory and some have fallen into infamy during the events of that darkest of periods known as the Horus Heresy.

But of two legions, nothing is known, all records expunged such a long time ago that only whispers and suppositions are all that remain.

This is the story of one of those legions, the 2nd Legion, whose name now forgotten by all was “Legio Dracones”.
Those that call themselves “The Seekers of the Blind eye”, the descendants of the dragons themselves, do not know much about their primogenitors except bits and pieces but some of what they know is this:

The 2nd Legion was mostly recruited from Ancient Earth and area known at the time of the great crusade as the Great Carpathyk Plateau, north of the Balchaanik highlands, mostly from the gangs of hives Timysoora, Boocuresti, Cluuz and Yassiy.

The inhabitants of these hives venerated an ancient god of their ancestors more than 30 thousand years before, known as the Dragon God, Zamoxes. The worship has continued in hidden form even after the ban on religion imposed after the unification wars and trickled in one form or another through the recruits of the 2nd Legio.

Contrary to what is known in select circles of the Imperium, it was the primarch of the 2nd Legio which was the first one to be discovered by the Emperor and reunited with his Legion, and not Horus, his name be forever cursed.

Of the battle record of the Dracones, not much is known except that the war fleets moved fast and re-conquered the galaxy in a narrow straight path heading for the Eastern Galactic Rim. Why or what were the reasons for this atypical behavior is not known although some believe that the Emperor had a special mission for the 2nd Legio that involved something found at the edge of the galaxy.

There they encountered something that would forever change the fate of the Legio Dracones and set them on the path to become the “Seekers of the Blind Eye” and becoming crusaders in a quest of unimaginable proportions.

Second part will follow soon.

The second part. The wandering star. The god with no face.

Imagine a star wandering amongst stars, between realities, at will. No, not only a star, but an entire star system. A binary star system consisting of a giant, brilliant and hateful star orbited by an ancient and cold star as well as many planets, from gas giants to cold orbs of ice.
It wanders the galaxy’s edge at behest unknown, a myth within a myth, forgotten by all when the galaxy was young.It is the wanderer star of the faceless god.

Imagine a being so old that time has no meaning. So old that he forgot everything. Forgot who he is, what he is, where he comes from, even how he looks.
He, whose hate has sustained him through countless eons. Hate and pain. An endless pain, born of a terrible loss.
Pain that ate until nothing remained of the faceless god of the wandering star, only ruthlessness and brutality in pursuit of one goal, and one goal only, to destroy the Gods of Chaos. To cast them into oblivion and free this reality of their malignant presence.
To see them destroyed, the faceless god is willing to do everything and anything.

The children of the First were defeated in the end. The Old Ones were weak. The Enslavers were not enough. The necrontyr were too selfish. The Eldar too arrogant, and that spelled their doom. The humans showed promise but in the end failed like the rest.

Countless schemes, countless races and methods were used in his quest for vengeance.
But if there was one thing which he had, it was time. After all, in time, even gods may die.

Third part will follow soon.

The third part. Hand of fate. Sacrifice and Rebirth.

Time has no meaning. A lie. Time consumes everything. Nothing can oppose it. It can be altered, it can be slowed, it can be changed. But it cannot be stopped. So much time has passed that the faceless god, more interested in revenge than in subjects to sustain him, faded away, somewhere beyond realities. After all, what are gods without the thoughts, hopes and desires or as someone might say, worship of mortals?
Forgotten even by those he seeks to destroy, only the will of the faceless god remained bound to this reality, on the forbidden moon Hayte orbiting Rage, the closestt planet to the center of the system.

It was in this state that the 2nd Legio stumbled upon the wandering star and its faceless master. Some might say it was fate, others that it was a careful manipulation.
Whatever the case, the result was to set in motion a chain of events with results no one could have foreseen.

What has gone down between the Primarch of the Dracones and the Faceless God is not known but it is believed that the he was shown the threat that chaos represented to humanity and understood that it had to be destroyed if there was to be a future free from the shackles of uncaring gods. A means that the incalculable intellect of the faceless god has finally found after so much time. A mad plan, so ambitious as to beggar belief in the form of the warp virus. A hidden threat to chaos, a thought virus, that would slowly insinuate itself in that dimension found beyond the veil attaching itself to thoughts, borne on warp currents, bound to spread amongst the hungering entities of the empyrean, designed to consume the thoughts of those malevolent sentient beings until only thoughtless energies remain.

In order to fulfill this grand plan, the Primarch begun to move a large portion of the Legion’s assets to the wandering star in order to set a permanent base of operations from which to manufacture and spread the warp virus and set in motion plans that would ensure that the ultimate goal was achieved.

Thus, when the events happening among the reclamation fleets of the 2nd Legio finally transpired to the Emperor via his agents, He flew into an outrage, too terrible to behold, and sent his executioners to bring him the 2nd Legio and his Primarch to Terra to stand trial.

Knowing that the Dracones will never be left alone to pursue their mission, the Primarch carefully orchestrated a series of battles with the Legion of Russ, each one more devastating than the last in order to achieve the impression that the 2nd Legio was destroyed. Fleets burned, hundreds of thousands of Astartes and billions of auxiliaries died, planets were destroyed and the Primarch sacrificed himself upon the blade of Russ. All this and more was done so that humanity might have a chance.

Thus the Legio Dracones died and the Seekers of the Blind Eye were born. All but forgotten, they laid in hiding, watching the events of the Horus heresy unfold, and biding their time.
In the aftermath of that turbulent age, after the Emperor was entombed and all that barely even remembered them died, the Seekers knew that their time has come. That they were free to fulfill the grand plan from within, disguised as followers of the dark gods, vessels of the warp virus.

It is thus that vengeance and freedom will be achieved, through the sacrifice of the Sons of Dragons, the Seekers of the Blind Eye.

Objectives

Primary objective: Make contact with the leaders of the Haemusian Liberators and find out as much information as possible about who or what is "Zalmoxis".

Possible courses of action:
P1.If Zalmoxis is a warp entity subservient to the Chaos Gods then capture it a convenient time and use it's essence to power the deamon forges of Brutalus, killing it in the process to release the warp virus into the imaterium.
P2.If Zalmoxis is not a chaos agent then capture it a convenient time and take it to the wandering star for further study. P2 may change depending on further developments.

Secondary objectives: Asses the strength and disposition of Haemusian Liberators and support them.

Possible courses of action:

S1.If Zalmoxis is a warp entity subservient to the Chaos Gods then efforts will be made to spread the chaos taint over Haemus coupled with infecting the population with the warp virus .
S1.1 If the chaos forces seem to be victorious then the most powerful individuals will be captured and ritually killed so that the best chance to release the virus into the empyrean are achieved. Then the planet will suffer exterminatus via cyclonic torpedoes
S1.2 If the chaos forces seem to be defeated then the planet will suffer exterminatus via cyclonic torpedoes

Or

S2. If Zalmoxis is not a chaos agent then efforts will be made to support the liberators and establish a recruitment world for future space marines and subjects necessary for growing the warp virus.
S2.1 If the liberator forces seem to be victorious then the planet and system will be turned into a recruitment world.
S2.2 If the liberator forces seem to be defeated then evacuation plans will be set in motion.

Tertiary objectives:


T3.Capture as much information as possible from the data banks of Mechanicum facilities.
T4.Capture as much war materiel as possible from depots and factories.

Observation: Seeker forces will engage in attrition war only if conditions P2&S2.1 can be achieved as well as much as possible from T3&T4 . In all other cases only surgical and high reward missions will be undertaken leaving the attrition battles to the Haemusian Liberators.

Pai nu am vorbit. FLuff-ul din spatele urmasilor legiunii a doua(pt. ca sunt mult mai multi decat un chapter)este ceva dezvoltat in timp si pleaca din obsesia mea cu cateva lucruri:
- legio dracones de pe un magnet de frigider luat cand am fost la Ulpia Traiana si Ulpia Regia ce infatiseaza un draco dacic (dragonul lup cu corp de sarpe) .
- termenul de seekers (cautatori a ceva)
- termenul de blind eye care izvoraste dintr-un joc mai vechi in care puteai juca cu niste teroristi din "followers of the Five eyes". Imi placea mult cum o spunea dude-ul care dadea briefing-ul. Blind eye se refera la faptul ca ochiul atoatestiutor al "zeilor" nu poate vedea ceea ce este chiar in fata lor (asta va fi explicat in urmatoarele parti din fluff-ul Seekerilor).
Asa "Followers of the Five Eyes" s-a transformat in "Seekers of the Blind Eye".
- obsesia cu conceptul ca chiar si zeii pot muri.
- Hive Boocuresti pomenit de Abnett in Blood Games. Pana la urma de ce ar disparea valahii de pe aceste taramuri peste 30k ani? Wink
- o obsesie cu cele 2 legiuni disparute
- wandering star system
- hateful god(?) that doesn't remember anything except his hatred for the gods.
- eliberarea din catusele puse de fiinte mai puternice decat noi (vezi Karsa in House of Chains de S.Erikson)
- si o mie de alte concepte si idei adunate in decursul timpului.

Singurul lucru care nu e ocoincidenta este Zalmoxis de care am aflat curand de Harry si la care m-am gandit ca se potriveste ca psoibila coincidenta si care ar putea avea legatura cu Legio Dracones si urmasii getilor, dacilor si tracilor din zona cunoscuta sub numele de the Great Carpathyk Plateau Wink

The Levelist Brotherhood No 023-C

With roots in the Lathe Worlds of the Calxian Sector, the Levelist movement has found a more favorable climate, if only barely, in the Ultima Segmentum.
Although it's ideals are temporarily regarded as Tech-Heresy, Brotherhood No 023-C is confident that within the next millenia they shall eventually be recognized as a legitimate faction within the Mechanicus.
A consequence of their low influence, the Levelist forces are composed of locally stationed secutors, the resident Magos Militant Archer, a contingent of Skitarii and a visting Magos Napek.
The Levelists will probably fight for the loyalists, but we might be persuaded otherwise.

Objectives by order of priority:

1. Ocupation and reinforcement of the most important Factory
2. Support the loyalist remnants.
3. Make contact with off planet re-inforcemnts.

If the planet seems likely to fall:
1. The Holy Databanks must be evacuated.
2. Magos Napek must be evacuated.
3. Destruction of Factory

Incearca sa specifici te rog si ceva obiective mai specifice care le au baietii tai pe Haemus III, chiar obiective in caz ca this or that.

Pai partea de fluff e doar parte de fluff. Marea coincidenta este Zalmoxis. Dar, dupa cum ai vazut din fluff unde este lasat ambiguu si neexplica, acesta poate fi oricine si orice, cum ti se pare tie mai bine.
Nu cred ca e musai sa altereze foarte mult evenimentele campaniei gandite de tine.

S2.1 If the liberator forces seem to be victorious then the planet and system will be turned into a recruitment world.
S2.2 If the liberator forces seem to be defeated then evacuation plans will be set in motion.

Tertiary objectives:


T3.Capture as much information as possible from the data banks of Mechanicum facilities.
T4.Capture as much war materiel as possible from depots and factories.

Observation: Seeker forces will engage in attrition war only if conditions P2&S2.1 can be achieved as well as much as possible from T3&T4 . In all other cases only surgical and high reward missions will be undertaken leaving the attrition battles to the Haemusian Liberators.

Pai partea de fluff e doar parte de fluff. Marea coincidenta este Zalmoxis. Dar, dupa cum ai vazut din fluff unde este lasat ambiguu si neexplica, acesta poate fi oricine si orice, cum ti se pare tie mai bine.
Nu cred ca e musai sa altereze foarte mult evenimentele campaniei gandite de tine.

Evenimentele campaniei nu sunt gandite inca. Numai premiza de la care plecam. S-ar putea sa iasa somewhat like a role-playing game toata treaba ce se intampla behind the curtains.

Oricum, notez toate obiectivele voastre si plecand de la ele voi face niste reguli prin care sa le reprezentam, de genu capturarea informatiei.

Mai bagati si restu obiective. Pampu? Mihai?
